Poetry Reading Sunday, June 26, 2:00 to 4:00pm

Connie T. Braun will read selections from her newest volume of poetry, Unspoken: An Inheritance of Words (Fern Hill, 2016). This collection centres on themes of family history, ethnicity, immigration/emigration, loss, (dis)placement and (dis)location, and refugee experience. Braun’s rich poetry traces her family roots, as did The Steppes Are the Colour of Sepia (Ronsdale, 2008), a work of historical non-fiction.
Braun’s writing includes poetry, memoir, and the historical essay, published in books, journals, and anthologies. Areas of interest and academic expertise include Mennonite studies and creative writing. Braun frequently gives readings and presentations to literary, historical, religious, and writing groups and conferences.

On Sunday, June 26, 2016, Braun will be reading selections from her newest volume of poetry, Unspoken, here at Historic Joy Kogawa House, 1450 West 64th Avenue, Vancouver. We hope you will be able to join us!
